Four people were injured in a collision between two train tractors at Margham station in the direction of Matrouh, west of Alexandria, including the driver and his assistant. The trains continued moving after a stop that lasted minutes.

The security services in Alexandria received notification that a collision had occurred inside the station as a result of the brakes of the tow tractor running out while trying to move the broken train. Security forces, ambulances, and civil protection immediately moved to the location of the report.

It was found that 4 people were injured and were transported to the hospital in 4 cars, and a security cordon was imposed around the collision site to regulate the movement of trains.

The initial inspection showed that a forced accident occurred due to a malfunction in the main train, and when an attempt was made to pull it with another tractor, the collision occurred as a result of a defect in the brake system.
