The local units in Menoufia Governorate announced tightening control over grocery stores, supermarkets, and street vendors, and preventing the sale or circulation of fireworks and crackers in all their forms, coinciding with the approaching month of Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr season.

The local units confirmed that these measures come within the framework of preserving the safety of citizens, especially children, given the serious dangers caused by fireworks that may lead to serious injuries, fires, and street accidents.
She stressed not to possess or sell any flammable materials or explosives inside stores or on public roads, and to take immediate legal measures against violators, noting that continuous and intensive inspection campaigns will be implemented in markets and commercial stores.

She explained that the campaigns will include confiscating the violating seizures and issuing official reports against the violators, in coordination with the competent security authorities and supply offices, to ensure the application of the law and prevent the recurrence of this phenomenon.
The local units appealed to citizens to cooperate and report any store or seller selling fireworks or dangerous materials, in order to preserve public security and safety, stressing that the health and safety of citizens is a top priority during this period.
