Issued by the General Administration of Customs KuwaitiThis evening, Wednesday, urgent customs instructions were issued to all land, sea and air ports stipulating not to export all types of food commodities, in reference to the Minister of Trade and Industry’s Resolution No. 20 of 2026 regarding banning the export of all types of food commodities.

According to Kuwaiti media, these instructions have been circulated to all customs administrations, with an emphasis on full compliance with the approved procedures and taking the necessary measures regarding any violation, in order to preserve food security and ensure the stability of the local market.

Kuwait bans the export of all types of food commodities

The General Administration of Customs confirmed that the radiation monitoring systems and devices for inspecting goods, containers and vehicles at all customs ports operate with high efficiency and the highest levels of technical and operational readiness, within an integrated control system that works around the clock and in continuous coordination with the competent authorities.

The administration explained that no abnormal radiation readings were recorded, and that all monitoring indicators are within safe limits, stressing the continuation of inspection and audit work in accordance with the highest approved technical and regulatory standards.

The General Administration of Customs renews its full commitment to protecting the country, preserving its security and the safety of society, and implementing all decisions issued by the competent authorities with all professionalism and responsibility.
