Muhammad Wael, a friend of the student of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Muhammad Hani, who was stabbed to death by his colleague in the Sheraton branch of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, revealed that it was a tragic incident in which the student Muhammad Hani was killed, after he was attacked with a knife by his colleague.
Muhammad Wael, a friend of the victim, said in his video that the incident occurred yesterday morning during the month of Ramadan, explaining that a dispute broke out between Muhammad Hani and a colleague of his at the Faculty of Engineering named Ahmed Hatab over a girl.
He added that the accused came to the vicinity of the university at approximately 2:30 p.m., and headed directly towards the victim, before stabbing him three successively with a white weapon, one of which was in the heart area, which led to him falling to the ground amidst the shock and astonishment of the students and those present.
He explained that Mohamed Hani was fasting at the time of the accident, and that he continued bleeding on the ground until he was taken to the hospital, but he died before his arrival as a result of his serious injury, noting that the doctors tried to revive him immediately after he entered, but his condition had completely deteriorated.
The victim’s friend pointed out that the incident was not a passing quarrel, but rather came after a previous dispute between the two parties over a girl, and she was the one who incited the killer to do so, stressing that everyone within the academy was surprised that matters had developed to this extent.
He continued: “We are confident in the Ministry of Interior that his rights will be restored,” calling on the Ministry of Interior to quickly investigate the incident, reveal its full circumstances, and take the necessary legal measures.
