Eid al-Fitr films are still generating revenues at the cinema, despite decisions to rationalize consumption and early closure, as Hisham Majed’s film Barshama topped the list yesterday, Tuesday, according to the Film Yard website.

The movie Barshama topped the list of cinema revenues yesterday, achieving the highest daily income, with revenues amounting to about 1,574,990 pounds, against the sale of 9,824 tickets, to continue topping the box office.

The movie EgyBest came in second place, with daily revenues reaching 376,574 pounds, with 2,549 tickets, continuing its competition on the list of highest grossers.

While the movie The Thug of the Assembly came in third place, with revenues amounting to 315,625 pounds, after selling 2,091 tickets.

The events of Barshama take place on the day of the Arabic language exam within the high school committee, where the fates of the students and their families are intertwined in comical and sarcastic situations, amidst chaos, corruption and mass cheating, with funny attempts by the families to help their children in various ways, which makes the film full of funny situations and comedic surprises.

The film includes a group of stars, including: Hisham Majed, Mustafa Gharib, Reham Abdel Ghafour, Hatem Salah, Bassem Samra, Arifa Abdel Rasoul, Faten Saeed, Kamal Abu Rayya, Michel Milad, Fadwa Abed, and others.
