The security services in Qalyubia had received notification of the fire, and the civil protection forces in Qalyubia, led by Major General Haitham Shehata, Director of the Civil Protection Department, moved in. Four fire trucks were dispatched to the site of the report, where the fire was controlled and prevented from spreading to the rest of the property or neighboring properties.
Examining the causes of a plastic store fire in Qalyubia
The inspection revealed that the fire broke out inside a residential apartment with an area of about 80 square metres, which was used as a factory for manufacturing and storing plastic products, which contributed to the rapid ignition of the fire and its spread throughout the entire apartment.
The fire resulted in the complete devouring of the apartment, without causing any injuries or loss of life, while the losses were limited to material damage only.
The civil protection forces were able to control the fire without any losses, and the relevant authorities took over the investigation.
