Bakri: The current government gave what it had after entering its eighth year
He added during television statements: Any ministerial change or amendment that keeps the prime minister as he is will be considered as if nothing had happened.
He continued, saying: There is a prevailing culture in society that any amendment that does not involve replacing the prime minister is not considered a change, especially since the prime minister is the first decision maker regarding policies and choosing ministers after presenting them to the President of the Republic.
He stressed that the current government, throughout the past period, has maintained stability, but at the same time it has not been able to preserve the components, sustainability, and continuation of this stability, saying: It has achieved stability in the exchange rate and in the political and economic conditions in general, but where are the repercussions of this on the citizen?
He pointed out that, for example, 80 gasoline has increased since 2018, when the price of a liter was four pounds and is now 17.75 pounds, saying:
Solar also increased by 367 percent, as its value was four pounds and now it is 17.5 pounds, and even electricity increased by 125 percent.
He continued: It is true that economic reform and restructuring of support and other things were implemented, but at the same time we did not provide a social security system for the people, and the evidence is that the income of the middle class has declined and eroded.
He concluded by saying: Even social protection programs such as Takaful and Karama, what is the benefit of 450 pounds or 500 pounds in the face of the price gouging?
