Episode 12 of the series “We Forget What Was” sparked a resounding surprise that changed the course of events, after the conflict erupted between Maryam, played by Cynthia Khalifa, and her sister Jalila, played by Yasmine Abdel Aziz, in a fiery confrontation that turned into the “Master Sin” of the episode, revealing the threads of betrayal within the circle closest to the heroine and topping the audience’s interaction on social media sites.
The confrontation came after Maryam tried to steal her sister inside her room while she was sleeping, only to be surprised when she woke up and was caught red-handed, before Jalila exploded in her face with a strong slap amidst a torrent of accusations and insults, which ended with her being expelled from the house in a moment of burning anger.
The theft scene revealed the true intentions of Maryam, who sought to get closer to her sister out of the desire to exploit her fame and money, and tried to make her way into the world of acting through a venerable gateway, so that the character would appear with more subtle and complex features.
Through the work, Cynthia Khalife presents a complex character that mixes ambition, jealousy, and internal conflict, within events revolving around Jalila Raslan, the famous artist who faces unexpected pressures and threats in the world of fame, so that the threads of betrayal and tangled relationships between those close to her are successively revealed.
The series “And We Forget What Was” includes an elite group of stars, most notably Karim Fahmy, Sherine Reda, Angie Kiwan, Khaled Sarhan, Mohamed Lotfy, Edward, and Menna Fadali, and it is written by Amr Mahmoud Yassin and directed by Mohamed Hamdi Al-Khabiri.
The work represents a strong return for Cynthia Khalifa to Ramadan drama, in conjunction with her participation in the series “One Last Chance” alongside Tariq Lotfy and Mahmoud Hamida, which is scheduled to be shown during the second half of the Ramadan season.
