The Third Settlement area witnessed a tragic incident after two workers were killed inside a concrete mixer while carrying out cleaning and maintenance work inside a concrete station, after the machine suddenly started while they were inside it. A report was issued regarding the incident bearing No. 4033 of 2026, First Settlement misdemeanor.
Ending the lives of two young men while cleaning the “concrete mixer” in the Third Settlement
The mother of one of the victims, during a live broadcast on Cairo 24, recounted the details of the difficult moments she lived after receiving the news of her son’s death, as she said in tears that her son was her only son, and he was the person closest to her heart.
The mother added that she was keen on educating and raising him since he was young, stressing that he was her support in life, and she could not imagine that he would go out to work in search of a living and then return to her dead.
The victim’s sister added, while narrating the details of what happened to her brother, stressing that the family received the news like a thunderbolt, and that he had only been working at the site for a short time.
The details of the incident go back to February 21, 2026, at approximately ten in the morning, when Ibrahim Saeed Ibrahim and Ramadan Sobhi Farouk climbed into the concrete mixer at a height of approximately 3 meters, in order to clean the concrete blocks stuck inside it using the Hilti, in a routine task within maintenance work.
While the workers were inside the mixer, a colleague of theirs started the engine, and one of the workers fell inside while the other was trapped under the gears, killing them instantly.
