The Hamas movement confirmed that the American move to provide consular services within the “Efrat” settlement in the “Gush Etzion” bloc, established on the territory of the West Bank, represents a dangerous precedent.
Hamas stressed that this constitutes blatant identification with the occupation’s Judaization plans, and a practical recognition of the legitimacy of settlement and the occupation’s control over the West Bank.
She added that the new resolution reveals the blatant contradiction in the positions of the United States, which claims to reject the annexation of the West Bank, while taking field steps that reinforce the annexation and establish Israeli sovereignty over our occupied land.
Hamas warned of the danger of this step and its repercussions, especially in light of American statements encouraging the occupation to expand its control, which requires a pressing international stance to stop this encroachment and aggression against the people and the Palestinian land.
