Since the beginning of this year’s Ramadan drama season, the events of the Ali Clay series have begun on the DMC channel, with the star Ahmed Al-Awadi in the first starring role. It is directed by Mohamed Abdel Salam and written by Mahmoud Hamdan. A large number of stars participate in this work, most notably Dora and Yara Al-Sukari, Mohamed Tharwat, Intissar, Mahmoud Al-Bazawi, Bassam Ragab, Issam Al-Sakka and Sarah Baraka. After a long absence, the artist Tariq Al-Desouki appeared in the role of the teacher Mansour Al-Gohary, who has a special relationship with Clay. She is the focus of the series’ events.
The artist Ahmed Al-Awadi had talked about the work before the Ramadan season and mentioned his name without details, which made the followers expect what it would be like. Of course, because of Clay’s name and Al-Awadi’s sports background, we may have thought that we would see a boxer throughout the series displaying his strength and skills.
But the surprise was that the idea of Clay, the boxer and the hero, was not the main one during the events of the series, in which we saw a great focus on many important human aspects of our lives.
We have seen how evil can infect people and plot against someone even if they have never harmed them, and here is a great reality in the truth of the matter.
It may happen that a good, pure, and kind person is harmed out of affliction, not because he committed a sin in his life.
It is wonderful that we saw Ahmed Al-Awadhi, a capable actor in all episodes of the series, who relies on his facial expressions, eye looks, and body language more than the strength of his structure and muscles.
The drama of the series always contains interesting surprises and heavy tragedy, so that many viewers were truly affected in certain episodes when Ali Clay’s life turned into a disturbing and painful nightmare. No sooner had he emerged from a murder that was planned for him to fall into than he lost his wife and her fetus, and an unexpected transformation in personality occurred. We saw the strong Clay, who had nothing standing in his way, completely broken and transformed into a homeless person on the streets.
Here is another surprise as we discover that the series sheds light on this group that needs attention and care and explains that what we see in this situation may have once been in the best of circumstances, but it is the vicissitudes of life and the cruelty of time. Perhaps there are those who criticized this and saw that the heartbreak of a person who lost his wife and her fetus in her womb did not emerge to life is exaggerated.
The truth is that it is very normal in the case of Ali Clay, who came out to life and found himself treated like a foundling child who did not know any of his family, and the teacher, Mansour Al-Gohary, raised him among his children, only to discover after that that he was his father, who denied him and was the cause of all this pain that he experienced. He also gets married and does not give birth to his wife, so he deceives her that he is the reason for fear for her feelings, so she continues to criticize him constantly.
With the events, he finds himself let down by those he saw as his brothers and by those he used to call his mother, Almaz, the wife of Mansour Al-Gohary. Then he discovers that his real father is a completely different person, and in the midst of all that, a spirit appears to him as compensation for everything he missed, so he marries her and gives him all the love he had lived his life that he so desperately desired, and she also conceives a child who was his most important hope in life and perhaps his only one, and in an instant it all ends.
We are still following the events of the series, which have become unexpected and full of excitement and suspense, especially with it becoming clear that Rouh is alive and her child was kidnapped, meeting the same fate as his father, Ali Clay, and living with a mother and father who are not his family, after her toy, his ex-wife, Mayada, did the same. But will the life of Ali Clay’s son really be similar to his life, or what?
