The fifth match is only resorted to in the event of a tie after four matches to determine the finalist. The semi-final series is held in a Best of 5 system, where the team that wins in 3 matches qualifies for the final match.
Results of the first and second round between Al-Ittihad and Zamalek
The basketball team at Al-Ittihad Club of Alexandria succeeded in equalizing the series after winning the second match against its counterpart, Zamalek, with a score of 93-73, after Zamalek had won the first match with a score of 80-75, making the overall score a draw 1-1.
