The President of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah, praised The proofOn the initiative of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to achieve peace in Sudan.
Al-Burhan said, in a statement by the Sudanese army leadership, that the Sudanese who suffered from the fires of this war view with satisfaction and appreciation the efforts of the Saudi Crown Prince, indicating that this initiative is an opportunity to spare our country from destruction and disintegration.
He added: We count on this initiative and consider it the voice of truth and the voice of the region, given that the security of the Red Sea concerns everyone. We will deal with this initiative in a way that enables the war to end in an ideal way that will comfort all Sudanese.
Al-Burhan pointed out that many of the initiatives that were proposed during the last period, but most of them were rejected because they kept the rebels within the scene, so we did not accept them.
Sudanese dialogue to determine the future
He said that the Quartet initiative presented three proposals. The first does not deserve to be presented to the people or announced because it contradicts the principles of the Sudanese state and the sacrifices of the Sudanese people and conflicts with our ambitions as military personnel. Therefore, we presented a road map to them and to friends and brothers that carries our vision for resolving the crisis, indicating that the ceasefire is accompanied by some measures, including the withdrawal of this militia from every area it entered after the Jeddah Agreement. This means their withdrawal from Zalingei, El Geneina, El Fasher, Nyala, and from all the cities that They entered it, and then gathered them in specific areas, so that the Sudanese could return to their areas and then enter into a Sudanese dialogue to determine the future.
Al-Burhan met with senior officers of the Sudanese Armed Forces, in the presence of a member of the Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Yasser Al-Atta, a member of the Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant-General Ibrahim Jaber, the Chief of Staff and his deputies, the Deputy Director of the Police Forces, the Deputy Director of the General Intelligence Service, and the representative of the Joint Forces.
Al-Burhan confirmed that the Sudanese Armed Forces are determined to recover all the lands desecrated by the rebellion in Kordofan and Darfur.
He added: We will expel them from this Sudan, and victory will be ours as long as we are right, and we are determined to fight this battle with honor and pride and without interference from any external party.
