The delegation of the first football team of Al-Ahly club left Tunis International Airport a short while ago to return to Egypt, after completing the match against Esperance of Tunisia, in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the African Champions League.
Technical director Yes Torop confirmed that the team’s match against Esperance of Tunisia represents only the first half, noting that the decision will be in the return match in Cairo on March 21.
The technical director said that the match witnessed an equal performance between the two teams, explaining that some details played a role in determining its outcome, especially after the referee of the match returned to video technology.
Torop explained that the team reached the Esperance penalty area more than once, but lacked accuracy in ending some chances. He also pointed out that the performance in the second half was not at the required level.
