The Directorate of Social Solidarity in Menoufia Governorate responded to the case of the young man, Muhammad, aged 27 years, residing in the Tala Center, after the Cairo 24 website published his family’s distress call, which demanded intervention to treat him and provide him with appropriate care, in light of his suffering from a psychological disorder since his birth, and his sick father’s inability to care for him alone.
The competent authorities in the Social Solidarity Directorate began following up on the case in the field, in preparation for taking the necessary measures to deal with it, studying the health and social situation of the young man, and examining the possibility of placing him in one of the care homes or specialized clinics that provide him with appropriate medical and psychological care, ensuring a safe environment and continuous care for him.

Yesterday, the Cairo 24 website published the call for help launched by the young man Muhammad’s family, during which it explained that his sick father is the only one responsible for his care despite his health problems, as he is in charge of feeding him and providing him with drink, in light of the lack of specialized medical or social care for his condition, which prompted the neighbors to demand urgent intervention to help the family.
The families also revealed that the father and his son live in a simple house in the middle of agricultural lands that lacks the most basic necessities of life, as there is no water or electricity, and the father depends on a simple pension as the only source of income, stressing that their demand is limited to providing the necessary medical care for the young man and placing him in one of the specialized care homes that guarantees his treatment and provides him with appropriate care.
