Beheira Governorate witnessed a state of controversy on social media, after a video was circulated of a girl assaulting a young man in a mall in the city of Damanhour, with whom he had a relationship that ended in the failure of an engagement project.

The young man, Osama Al-Shabashiri, the person responsible for the incident, said in his first appearance with “Cairo 24” that he had filed 9 official reports against her to protect him legally, pointing out that the disputes between him and the girl began after the engagement project was broken, but things developed – in his words – into continuous persecution, verbal assaults, and threats, which prompted him to resort to the security services and write several official reports to prove what he was being exposed to.
He added that he had filed repeated reports that included accusations of assault, threats, and defamation, stressing that his life had become threatened and that he was only seeking to live in peace, away from any conflicts or crises, calling on the competent authorities to intervene to protect him and put an end to these actions.
He concluded his speech by asking the competent security authorities to examine the reports submitted, take the necessary legal measures, within the framework of the protection guaranteed by the laws for all parties, examine the aforementioned reports, complete investigations, and reveal the full circumstances of the incident.
