Star Yousra continues the final preparations for her new series scheduled to be shown in the 2026 Ramadan season, with which she returns to drama after an absence of two full years.
Work is progressing in its final stages before filming begins, and Yousra is expected to begin the first scenes immediately upon her return to Cairo in the coming weeks, after she announced in television statements that she is currently outside Egypt to finalize some engagements.
Yousra announced that director Abdel Aziz Al-Najjar will take over the task of directing the series, praising his experience and artistic vision, saying: Unfortunately, Rami Imam apologized for directing the series due to health problems, and Abdel Aziz Al-Najjar will be the director of my series, and he is a beautiful director and I love him and his work.
During her statements, Yousra revealed a major change in the work team, after director Rami Imam officially apologized for directing the series due to health problems that prevented him from continuing the project, stressing that he was the first candidate to lead the work before his health conditions prevented him from doing so.
Yousra’s latest Ramadan works
The last Ramadan appearance of the artist Yousra was through the series 1000 Thank God for Safety in 2023, with the participation of Shaima Saif, Mohamed Tharwat, Mayan Al-Sayed, Adam Al-Sharqawi, Enba, Sama Ibrahim, and Utaka.
At that time, the series presented a social comedy story based on the journey of Yousra in the role of Dr. Samiha Jaheen Al-Souissi, who returns from Canada to Egypt with her children in implementation of her husband’s will, only to find herself in a series of funny paradoxes and unexpected situations.
