The security services of the Ministry revealed Interior Circumstances of a post circulated on social media that included a quarrel between a number of people in Cairo.
Two workers were arrested for opening fire due to a dispute over children playing in the meadow
Upon examination, it was revealed that on the 8th of this month, the Marg Police Department in Cairo was informed from a hospital that it had received 3 people with gunshot wounds, residing in the department’s precinct, following an allegation of an altercation in the department’s precinct. Upon questioning the victims, two of them admitted that a verbal altercation had occurred between them and two workers, residing in the department’s precinct, due to disagreements between them over children’s entertainment, as a result of which the defendant assaulted them using firearms they were in possession of, causing the aforementioned injuries, and injuring the third. He happened to be passing by the scene of the incident.
The defendants were found in possession of two firearms, and the cartridges of those used in the assault were fired, and when they were confronted, they confessed to committing the incident as referred to.
Legal measures were taken, and the Public Prosecution took over the investigation.
