A young man in his forties arrived with a dead body at Akhmim Central Hospital, after being subjected to a beating in the Akhmim Center District in Sohag Governorate.

Major General Dr. Hassan Abdel Aziz, Assistant Minister of the Interior and Director of Sohag Security, received a report from Colonel Sharif Tantawi, the warden of the Akhmim Center, stating that the body of the young man, “Ahmed R.H.”, 34 years old, who resides in the village of Al-Kula, affiliated with the Center’s district, had arrived at Akhmim Central Hospital, a dead body as a result of an attack on him by others.
Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Saqr, head of investigations, immediately moved in, and upon examination it was found that the victim had been beaten and assaulted by others, which resulted in his death. The body was transferred to the hospital morgue at the disposal of the competent investigation authorities.
The accused and the weapon used in the incident were seized, the necessary report on the incident was prepared, and it is being presented to the investigating authorities to initiate investigations.
