The report issued by Beni Suef University Hospitals stated that Dr. Asma Sayed Jumaa was subjected to assault, as the report stated that after conducting a medical examination on the doctor, it became clear that the doctor had suffered a superficial bruise in the area of ​​the right forearm, 3 cm above the ankle, accompanied by redness of the skin and swelling on the back side of the forearm.

Earlier, since yesterday, social media and academic circles witnessed a great state of controversy, after the issuance of a press release issued by Beni Suef University, stating that the university president had referred the incident of a faculty member’s assault on the dean and director of the Faculty of Childhood Education for investigation and suspended her from work.

The statement issued by the university noted that Dr. Tariq Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, decided to refer the incident of an assault by a faculty member at the College of Early Childhood Education on the dean and director of the college to investigation, and to suspend her from work until the end of the investigations. This came based on the memorandum submitted by Dr. Ibrahim Abdel Razek, Dean of the College, which included details of the incident that occurred on Thursday, January 1, 2026.

For her part, Dr. Asmaa Sayed Jumaa, a faculty member at the College of Early Childhood Education, responded with a post on Facebook to the university’s statement, saying: Your Honor, I am the university professor whom the dean assaulted within the committee. Whoever can help me seriously is welcome. Unfortunately, the university leaked the memo that the dean wrote to the press, and I learned of the university’s decision to suspend work from the press and not from a letter addressed to the university.
