The Presidency of the Center and City of Al-Bajour in Menoufia Governorate announced the implementation of washing and disinfection of the Qarnain Al-Bahari filter, which led to a sudden water outage from the city of Al-Bajour and a number of farms and villages feeding from the filter, until twelve o’clock noon today.

The center’s presidency explained, in an official statement, that the outage came as a result of temporarily stopping the operation of the Al-Bajur artesian stations, in conjunction with washing and disinfection work and restarting the Qarnain Al-Bahari filter, as part of periodic maintenance work aimed at maintaining the efficiency of the water system and improving the quality of service provided to citizens.

The center’s presidency added that the outage includes the city of Al-Bajour, Al-Azab, and the villages that depend on feeding from the Al-Qarnain filter, noting that the work teams have already begun implementing the necessary technical procedures to complete the washing and disinfection work as quickly as possible, in preparation for gradually re-pumping water after the completion of maintenance.
The presidency of the center and city of Al-Bajour appealed to citizens and owners of bakeries and vital facilities to manage their water needs throughout the outage period, until the work is completed and service returns to normal again.
The competent authorities confirmed that these measures come within the periodic maintenance plan for water stations and filters, with the aim of ensuring continuity of service and improving the quality of water provided to citizens in various areas of the center and city of Al-Bajour.
