A security source categorically denied the validity of what was circulated on a social media page regarding an inmate in one of the correctional and rehabilitation centers going on a hunger strike as a result of her exposure to alleged verbal abuse by one of the center’s female doctors, with the participation of other inmates.

The source confirmed that the inmate is not on hunger strike and is receiving full care just like other inmates, noting that all correctional and rehabilitation centers are equipped with all health and living capabilities in accordance with the highest international human rights standards.
