Under the leadership of its technical director, Hussein Abdel Latif, the junior team is preparing to compete in the North African Championship, and it is keeping in mind the technical staff and the players two goals that it seeks to achieve during the course of the tournament.

The North African Championship for junior teams under 17 years of age is held in a league system of one round, during which each team plays 4 matches, and the tournament title is crowned by the team that scores the most points.

Retain the title

Hussein Abdel Latif and the players of the Egyptian junior national team are looking forward to retaining the North African Championship title, which was crowned in its last edition by the former Egyptian junior national team, which was led by technical director Ahmed Al Kass.

The players of the current generation of the junior national team are seeking to repeat the achievement of the previous generation after they succeeded in winning the title of the last edition and topping the final standings, which was the tournament that was held at that time in Morocco.

Qualifying for the Nations of Africa

The junior team and the technical staff are also entering the North African Championship, seeking to snatch one of the qualifying cards for the African Junior Cup of Nations, which is scheduled to be held next month.

According to the North African Championship system, the teams ranked in the top three in the final standings of the tournament qualify for the next edition of the 2026 African Junior Championship, which is the second step on the way to qualifying for the Junior World Cup scheduled to be held next year.
