According to the study published in a journal of the American Heart Association, adults with prediabetes who continued to eat an avocado with a cup of mango daily for 8 weeks showed a noticeable improvement in the efficiency of their blood vessels compared to others.

The study was conducted at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, and included 82 participants who were divided into two groups, one of which was committed to including this mixture in its daily diet, while the other followed a similar diet in calories without adding it.

The results showed an improvement in the ability of blood vessels to expand in the first group, which is an important indicator of the efficiency of blood circulation and heart health.

Participants who consumed this mixture also recorded better diastolic blood pressure readings, especially among men, which reinforces the importance of this dietary pattern in reducing risk factors associated with heart disease.

Researchers attribute these results to the nutritional composition of both avocado and mango, as avocado contains healthy fats, fiber, and potassium that help lower cholesterol, while mango provides antioxidants and vitamins that support blood vessel health.

Despite the positive results, experts pointed out that the duration of the study was relatively short, and the number of participants was limited, which requires more research to confirm long-term effects.

Specialists also advised that this mixture should be included in a balanced diet, taking into account individual health needs, especially for diabetics or those suffering from kidney problems.
