According to The Sun, the British authorities arrested the 31-year-old pilot last week, after receiving reports that he had recorded meetings with at least 16 women, including flight attendants and employees of various airline companies, during his travel to several countries.
One of the victims reported that she discovered that clips of her had been recorded without her knowledge, explaining that the matter did not become clear to her until another woman who had been exposed to the same situation told her. She noted that the pilot would place a laptop in front of him during the encounters, ostensibly to play music, when in fact he was using it to record video.
The woman added that the clips later appeared on websites, revealing that the accused was doing the same thing with other women, which sparked a state of anxiety among female aviation workers, and prompted some flight attendants to warn each other about his behavior.
According to informed sources, the ages of the victims ranged between 24 and 36 years, and they filed reports with the British Metropolitan Police, which began an investigation into the case. The police explained that they detained the suspect on March 5 on suspicion of committing crimes related to violating privacy and espionage.
Reports indicated that the pilot was later released on bail as investigations continued, while British Airways decided to suspend him temporarily until the legal procedures were completed and the circumstances of the case were fully revealed.
