Turkey said that NATO air defenses in the eastern Mediterranean shot down a second Iranian ballistic missile after it entered Turkish airspace, in the airspace of the city of Gaziantep.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that NATO air defenses in the eastern Mediterranean shot down a second ballistic missile launched from Iran and entered Turkish airspace, warning that it would take the necessary steps without hesitation.

This represents the second Iranian ballistic missile targeting Türkiye, a member of NATO, during the past week.

In a statement, the Ministry stated that some parts of the ammunition fell in Gaziantep Governorate, southeast of the country, confirming that there were no casualties in the incident.

It also called on all parties to adhere to the warnings issued by Ankara.
