The competent investigation authorities decided to imprison 9 people on charges of exploiting minors in begging in Cairo for 4 days pending investigation.
The General Administration of Juvenile Welfare Investigations in the Specialized Police Sector was able to arrest 6 men and 3 women, 7 of them with criminal information, for exploiting juveniles in acts of begging, begging passersby, and selling goods in an urgent manner within the scope of Cairo Governorate. They were accompanied by 9 juveniles who were at risk in the event of urgent selling of goods and begging, and when confronted, they confessed to their criminal activity.

Legal measures were taken, the victims were handed over to their eligibility, the necessary pledge was taken from them to take good care of them, and coordination was made with the concerned authorities to take the necessary measures towards placing those whose eligibility could not be reached in one of the care homes.
