The investigation authorities in the district of the center and city of Gerga, south of Sohag Governorate, are conducting investigations into an altercation between two parties in which firearms were used, which resulted in the injury of 4 people who were transferred to Sohag University Hospital to receive treatment.

Major General Dr. Hassan Abdel Aziz, Assistant Minister of the Interior and Director of Sohag Security, received a notification from the warden of the Gerga Police Department stating that a quarrel had occurred between 6 people on Al-Sarraf Street within the scope of the department.
Immediately, the Sohag security director directed people to move to the scene of the incident and arrest both parties to the quarrel. During the inspection, it was found that the two parties exchanged bricks and stones, insulted and slandered each other, and one of the parties used a rifle, which resulted in two of them being injured by gunshot wounds to the left and right feet, due to neighborly disputes.
The necessary report on the incident was prepared, and both parties to the quarrel were arrested in preparation for presenting them to the investigating authorities to complete the legal procedures.
