The family of the artist Abdel Halim Hafez revealed many scenes about the day of the death of the brown nightingale, and the scene of the artist Mohamed Abdel Wahab crying and his shock at the departure of his lifelong friend, who passed away and left a great artistic legacy for his fans in Egypt and the Arab world.
The family said on his official Facebook page: Information that not many people know… When Halim died, he was accompanied by my grandmother Alia, Hajj Shehata Abu Zaid, his cousin, and Mrs. Nahla Al-Qudsi, wife of the musician Al-Ajyal Muhammad Abdel-Wahab. Early in the morning, the musician Muhammad Abdel-Wahab came to Halim’s house because he was afraid of traveling by plane, so he did not accompany Halim on this trip, and asked Hajja Firdaus, Halim’s cousin and Hajj Shehata’s wife, to enter the room. Halim’s bedroom was alone and the door was closed.
The family continued: Muhammad Abdel-Wahab prevented anyone from entering the room while he was in the room, and he began to read the Qur’an while crying intensely, then he began to pray, and after that he began to speak as if Halim was with him in the room, and part of what Hajja Firdaus and everyone who was outside the room heard was: “Why did you leave me alone, my son? I was so afraid of this day and I prayed that it would not come. What would I do without you? You were a support, you would make me feel strong. You promised me that you would leave me alone.” You will come back and bring me surprises. You broke me with your death.”
The family added in their talk about the scenes of the last meeting between Muhammad Abdel Wahhab and Nightingale: And many other words that were not heard clearly. He remained inside the room for more than two hours, and left it collapsed and sad at the separation of his lifelong friend, success partner, and son.
The family concluded: The musician Abdel-Wahab, Hajj Ismail, and Hajj Muhammad Shabana, brothers of Halim, Muhammad Al-Muji, Kamal Al-Taweel, Magdy Al-Amrousi, Baligh Hamdi, Muhammad Hamza, Abdul Rahman Al-Abnoudi, and Ahmed Hassan, leader of the Diamond Band, received Halim’s body at the airport, and went directly to wash and shroud the body and bury it… before the official funeral ceremony was held, out of fear for the body from the crowd’s stampede… and what a blessing of loyalty to Rafik and partner of success. And the spiritual father of Halim… May God have mercy on them all and bless the health of Hajja Firdaus… legends that will not be repeated in this time.
