Major General Muhammad Alwan, Governor, confirmed AssiutThe governorate continues its efforts to confront encroachments on the right of way, stressing that there will be no complacency or failure in enforcing the law to achieve discipline on the streets and facilitate traffic movement. He explained that the sudden and periodic campaigns to remove occupancies come within the framework of an integrated plan aimed at restoring the civilized appearance of cities, while taking deterrent legal measures against violators.
Occupancy campaigns
The governor pointed out the importance of full coordination between heads of centers and districts and officials of facilities and occupancies, to ensure the intensification of campaigns and raising their efficiency, stressing the provision of all aspects of support and overcoming obstacles to improve the level of services provided to citizens in various sectors.
The Governor of Assiut explained that the local unit of the center and city of Dayrut, headed by Suzan Muhammad Rady, continued to implement expanded campaigns to remove occupancy and encroachments on the right of way in a number of vital streets, including Martyr Ahmed Abdel Baqi Street (Al-Saida), Saad Zaghloul Street (Egypt and Sudan), Army Street, and Al-Bahr Al-Azam Street, with the aim of achieving traffic fluidity and facilitating the movement of cars and pedestrians.
The campaign resulted in the issuance of 42 various reports, including 12 reports for road occupancy, 4 reports for non-licensing of commercial stores, 6 reports for non-licensing of advertisements, 3 environmental reports, 8 reports for lack of security and occupational safety requirements, as well as 9 reports for the absence of employment contracts for workers, under the supervision of the deputy heads of the center and the head of the occupancy department, and using mechanical campaign equipment and vehicles.
Major General Muhammad Alwan concluded his statements by emphasizing the continuation of dealing firmly with violations, and taking the necessary legal measures against trespassers on the right of way, in order to preserve the civilized appearance and achieve discipline in the streets, which contributes to facilitating traffic movement and serving citizens.
