The executive agencies launched the first in the central and Montazah neighborhoods In Alexandria Large campaigns targeted waste sorting centers throughout the neighborhoods, to combat the phenomenon of friza and scavengers, impose discipline on the streets, and preserve public health and the environment.

In the Central neighborhood, an expanded campaign was launched targeting a number of Al-Fariza hotspots in several areas, including Mohsen Streets behind the Freedom Youth Center, Al-Kaaba, Al-Awliya, Sami Al-Baroudi, Al-Mahdi Al-Abbasi, Al-Mahn, Al-Princesa from Al-Iskandarani, Street 10, in addition to the Toson residences in Muharram Bey.
The campaign resulted in the seizure of 1,160 kilograms of sorting products and their delivery to Nahdet Misr Company, in addition to the lifting of 130 various occupancy cases, the removal and demolition of 2 illegal tandas, and the removal of all encroachments on sidewalks and pedestrian paths.
Within the first Montazah neighborhood, a massive campaign was carried out targeting the area of the American Residences – Hafni Bahri property, where two illegal stalls used in sorting activities were removed, and 4 cars loaded with sacks were lifted and loaded with a total of about 3 tons and 300 kg of waste, in addition to 210 kg of various scraps, while carrying out work to raise the efficiency of public cleaning in the area.
Alexandria Governorate confirms the continuation of implementing campaigns in all neighborhoods, and taking deterrent legal measures against violators, within the framework of a comprehensive plan to eliminate random garbage sorting spots, and achieve a clean and safe environment worthy of the Alexandrian citizen.
