The village of Daquf, affiliated with the West Samalout Center in Minya Governorate, was covered in blackness, and a state of great sadness fell over the people, following a tragic accident that resulted in the death of 3 young children. As a result of a motorcycle overturning in Al-Khazindar Canal near the village of Al-Gharbawi.
The security services had received notification of the accident, which resulted in the death of: Ahmed Hamada Samir, 13 years old, and his sister Salma Hamada Samir, 5 years old, along with the child Fatima Ibrahim Ahmed Hassan, 10 years old. The bodies were recovered and transferred to the morgue of Samalut Specialized Hospital, at the disposal of the Public Prosecution.
Initial investigations revealed that the children were residing with their families in Cairo, and had come to the village to spend the Eid vacation with their grandfather in Dakof, before they were killed in the tragic accident.
The necessary legal measures were also taken, while the medical report confirmed that the cause of death was asphyxia by drowning, with no criminal suspicion.
