
The Supply Directorate in Gharbia was able to seize 2 tons of table salt of unknown origin, before it was put up for sale in the markets, deceiving and defrauding the consumer public, inside a salt packing factory without a license and tax invoices in the Basyoun Center.
Food campaigns
Engineer Nasser Al-Afifi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Gharbia, received a report that a ration campaign in the Basyoun Center was able to seize 2 tons of table salt of unknown origin, without any data indicating the date of production or expiration, and without tax invoices, inside a factory without a license.
Deter violators
The seized items were seized and samples were taken to be sent to the central laboratories to determine whether or not they are fit for human consumption. A report was drawn up to the factory owner and the competent prosecution was notified to conduct its matters.
