Menoufia Governorate announced the new fares for various means of transportation within the governorate, following the decision of the Automatic Pricing Committee for Petroleum Products to increase fuel prices, within the framework of regulating transportation, controlling prices, and preventing exploitation of citizens.
New ride tariffs in Menoufia after increasing fuel prices
The Governor of Menoufia, Major General Amr Al-Gharib, directed the speedy implementation of the new tariff in all centers, cities and villages of the governorate, while requiring drivers to place clear stickers with the prescribed tariff on cars inside the various parking lots and routes, to ensure clarity of prices for citizens.

The new tariff included setting the fare for a tuk-tuk ride within the villages at 15 pounds, while the start of the taxi meter was set at 15 pounds, with a calculation of 4.5 pounds for each kilometer after the meter opened, in proportion to the increase in fuel prices.
Intense campaigns in Menoufia after announcing the increase in fuel prices
The governor stressed the intensification of monitoring campaigns on gas stations in coordination with the Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade, to follow up on the regularity of work and ensure the availability of petroleum products and the absence of any tampering or attempts to monopolize fuel.
Major General Amr Al-Gharib also stressed the tightening of control over parking lots and traffic routes in various centers and cities of the governorate, to ensure that drivers adhere to the new tariff and not divide traffic routes or collect a higher fare than the prescribed one.
He explained that there is complete coordination between the Directorate of Supply, the Traffic Department, and all local units to implement joint campaigns throughout the day to follow up on the implementation of the new tariff and control any violations, while taking immediate legal measures against violators.

The Governor of Menoufia directed the heads of local units to place signs and information boards with the new tariff inside all parking lots to inform citizens of the official fare, while following up on the implementation of the decision on the ground and immediately dealing with any citizen complaints.
