The Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in Qena, under the supervision of Engineer Hassan Al-Qat, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Qena, seized 100 home stove cylinders while trying to sell them for more than the official price, during a massive monitoring campaign aimed at tightening control over the markets and ensuring that the support reaches those who deserve it.

For his part, Engineer Hassan Al-Qat, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Qena, stated that the campaign resulted in issuing a report against a citizen, for selling 100 gas cylinders at more than the official set price, which is a clear violation of Law No. 95 of 1945 regulating supply affairs, indicating the continued conduct of surprise campaigns to prosecute those manipulating strategic goods in all centers and villages of the governorate.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Qena stressed the importance of educating citizens about the necessity of reporting any price violations through the designated lines, noting that the Supply Directorate places the protection of consumer rights and the provision of basic goods at fair prices at its top priority, to achieve discipline in all parts of Qena.
For his part, Major General Dr. Mustafa Al-Beblawi, Governor of Qena, stressed the need to strike with an iron fist anyone who dares to monopolize strategic goods, directing the intensification of the field presence of supply inspectors in coordination with the security services, to ensure that all warehouses and merchants adhere to the declared legal prices, and to take deterrent legal measures against those who violate the prestige of the state and the rule of law.
