The OnePlus 15T phone is preparing to launch soon in the Chinese market during the month of March 2026. Before any official announcements, brand president Lee J. Lewis continued to excite the masses by sharing some of the prominent specifications of the flagship phone, as the latest official leaks focused on confirming the details of water and dust resistance, in addition to denying a recent leak related to the design of the back of the device.
Lewis confirmed that the new phone equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor will come with a full range of water resistance ratings. These ratings include IP69K, IP69, IP68, and IP66 standards, which represents a huge upgrade compared to the previous generation phone, which was limited to the IP65 standard only, so that the protection capabilities in the new version match what the standard version of OnePlus 15 offers.
In a related context, the company’s president was keen to deny the validity of a recent leak related to the design of the OnePlus 15T phone. This leak had spread widely on Chinese social media platforms over the past few days, and showed an alleged image of a OnePlus smartphone featuring a large, rectangular rear camera unit, which was categorically denied.

Lewis explained that the leaked image has nothing to do with the real design of the OnePlus 15T phone, stressing that the actual phone looks much better. For those who missed it, the company’s president recently shared a quick glimpse of the front of the phone in a previous teaser, as the image showed a device that features very thin screen edges on all sides to provide an immersive visual experience.
That teaser made a direct comparison between the size of the bottom edge of the OnePlus 15T phone and the Apple iPhone 17 Pro, as the difference seemed noticeable in favor of the Chinese phone. In addition, the phone recently appeared on the AnTuTu platform database, which confirmed the type of processor used, while Lewis hinted in a recent post that there are upcoming upgrades in camera capabilities, awaiting the disclosure of more official details soon.
