Nubia showed off its Nubia Fold foldable phone during the World Phone Exhibition, months after its initial launch in the Japanese market last December. This device comes as the first foldable phone with a book design from the company, benefiting from the great success achieved by the previous series of foldable flip phones, and is now preparing to compete strongly in global markets.
The leaker, Roland Quandt from the Winfuture website, revealed that the company is preparing to launch the phone globally towards the end of this year, specifically next December. The phone is distinguished by being the cheapest option in the category of foldable phones with a book design, as its price is expected to be about 1,000 euros, which is equivalent to half the price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, which starts at 2,099 euros in Europe.
Given that the phone has already been available in Japan for some time, its technical specifications have become fully known. The device comes with an 8-inch AMOLED internal main screen, along with a 6.5-inch secondary external screen. The phone relies on the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor from Qualcomm to ensure smooth and fast performance that meets the aspirations of users in this leading category.
The Japanese version of the phone offers 12 GB random access memory and 256 GB internal storage space, which provides sufficient space and excellent performance for multitasking. In terms of energy, the device includes a huge battery with a capacity of 6560 mAh, which supports 55-watt fast wired charging technology, to provide long hours of continuous use without having to worry about running out of charge quickly.
The phone’s imaging system includes a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 5-megapixel macro lens, in addition to a 20-megapixel front camera for taking selfies and video calls. To provide a practical and safe user experience, the company has integrated a fingerprint sensor inside the side power button to facilitate the unlocking process and quick access to the phone.
