LG has recently expanded its 14-inch laptop lineup by launching new models based on Intel’s advanced Panther Lake platform. These innovative devices are characterized by providing a longer battery life of up to an additional 3 hours compared to their counterparts equipped with Gorgon Point processors from AMD, while maintaining an ultra-light design that weighs just over 1 kilogram, in addition to providing flexible customization options that allow the memory capacity to be increased to up to 32 GB to meet the requirements of users looking for powerful and reliable performance.
This strategic step comes more than a month after LG launched Gram 14 devices equipped with AMD processors in specific markets. Until this time, LG has not begun offering these laptops in other global markets to expand its reach. Rather, it preferred to focus on enhancing the Gram 14 series by adding new alternatives based on Intel processors to provide various options that suit the various technical preferences of consumers and ensure the provision of an integrated user experience that combines high efficiency and ease of transportation.
LG provided last year’s devices with Arrow Lake-H processor options, such as the Core Ultra 5 225H processor, which is available at a price of $1,129. This year, LG chose to rely on the Core Ultra 5 325 processor and the Core Ultra 7 355 processor, which are two octa-core processors that provide very close performance. Although these new processors excel in energy efficiency, they decline in most standard performance tests compared to previous generation processors, making them an option that focuses primarily on extending battery life.

These new versions share with their counterparts the reliance on distinct IPS screens that support a display resolution of 1200p and a refresh rate of 60 Hz with a peak brightness of only 350 nits. All models maintain a very light weight of about 1.12 kilograms despite containing a huge 72 watt-hour battery to ensure long periods of operation, while the entire series comes with practical and compact dimensions of 312 by 214 by 15.7 mm to confirm the identity of this series that focuses on slimness and ease of carrying everywhere.
The new alternatives feature support for advanced Thunderbolt 4 connectivity to provide superior data transfer speeds and a seamless connection experience with external accessories. Prices for this lineup start at 289,801 Japanese yen, equivalent to 1,809 US dollars, for the version equipped with the Core Ultra 5 325 processor, and rise to 359,800 Japanese yen, or 2,247 US dollars, for the model equipped with the Core Ultra 7 355 processor with 32 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage space, while LG has not yet confirmed pricing details or availability for other markets.
