Spotify recently launched a new feature called About the Song, after launching the Page Match feature a few days ago. This feature aims to offer “a new way to explore the stories behind the music” you listen to.
The feature displays short, scrollable story cards within the Now Playing interface, highlighting the meaning and content of songs, drawing on summaries from external sources to provide exciting details and behind-the-scenes moments, the official press release says.
To see this information, the user needs to open the Now Playing interface and scroll down to find the About the Song card, which appears on supported tracks.
It should be noted that the feature is still in beta and is currently available on iOS and Android devices for Spotify Premium subscribers in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and Australia.
