Sony has recently raised the prices of PlayStation 5 devices, with the price of the digital version now starting at $599.99, while the price of the PS5 Pro reaches $899.99, which has raised widespread questions among players about the feasibility of this increase.

In light of this situation, some leakers, such as Moore’s Law Is Dead, advise postponing the purchase for now, noting that Sony is developing the PS6 at a lower production cost than the original, which may be reflected in its price at the expected launch in 2027.

Leaks indicate that the PS6 may come at a lower price than the PS5 Pro, while the portable version of it may offer a powerful experience at a price of less than $600, with support for running PS4 and PS5 games, along with improved performance, especially in ray tracing.

Despite criticism of the price of the PS5 Pro, some believe that it is still a relatively acceptable option in light of the high prices of gaming computers, which easily exceed $1,000, making the decision between buying now or waiting dependent on the user’s needs.
