Samsung has launched a new, free application called Hearapy to help overcome the annoying problem of motion sickness. This innovative application, which is available for download through the Google Play Store, plays sound at a specific frequency and decibel to help users improve balance. Although some Samsung headphone models can be used as hearing aid devices without obtaining official medical approval, such as the AirPods Pro 2, this new application focuses entirely on working in full compatibility with the modern Galaxy Buds 4 Pro headphones.

This smart application relies on a unique mechanism of action to help reduce feelings of nausea and motion sickness without the need to take any medical medications. The application plays a bass sine tone with a frequency of 100 Hz, which effectively stimulates the user’s internal balance system. This innovative technical solution represents a safe and practical alternative for people who suffer from this recurring problem while traveling and moving long distances using various means of transportation.

To obtain the best results, you must listen to this specific tone for 60 seconds immediately before starting the trip. The application provides great flexibility to users through the ability to adjust the playback duration to range between 40 seconds and 120 seconds according to personal desire and need. Samsung confirms that the positive effect of this short audio session lasts for up to two full hours, with the possibility of repeating this procedure with ease whenever the need arises during long trips.

The idea of this application is based on the results of rigorous scientific research conducted by Nagoya University in Japan. The researchers conducted extensive experiments to determine the most effective tone in stimulating the vestibular system, which is responsible for balance in the human body. These studies concluded that listening to a tone with a frequency of 100 Hz at a sound level ranging between 80 decibels and 85 decibels for one minute improves balance significantly, but for the success of this process it is required that there be no music or other noise interfering with this tone.

Although the company indicated that the application was allocated to the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro headphones only, technical reports from the SamMobile website confirmed its compatibility with almost any headphones. This is excellent news for users, as it relieves them of the necessity of purchasing the leading Samsung headphones, which are available at a price of $249.99, but it is always recommended to use the application with headphones that feature a closed design to ensure isolation of external noise and obtain the best compatibility and highest possible effectiveness.
