A new leak has revealed CAD images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide, which is expected to launch this summer alongside the Fold8 and Flip8.

This version comes with a larger width, as its name suggests, to compete with the Apple iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra, which will have a similar display ratio, making the internal screen less square and more like a small tablet, which improves the use experience of the foldable screen.

The Fold8 Wide is codenamed H8 and model number SM-F971U, and its design is based on the language of the Galaxy S25 Edge, especially the camera island.

In terms of specifications, the phone is largely identical to the Fold8, as it includes a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, and a 5000 mAh battery that supports 45-watt wired charging. The foldable screen measures 7.6 inches, while the cover screen measures 5.4 inches.

The dimensions of the Fold8 Wide when folded are 123.9 x 82.2 x 9.8 mm, and when opened they are 123.9 x 164.4 x 4.9 mm, and the thickness of the camera protrusion reaches 14.6 mm. As for the price, it is expected to be very close to the Fold8.
