Samsung announced the launch of a new feature in cooperation with Hyundai Motor Group, which allows Hyundai and Kia car owners to control their smart home devices directly from inside the car.
The feature is called Car-to-Home, and comes as a continuation of the previously launched Home-to-Car service, where drivers can control lighting, air conditioning devices, air purifiers, and smart vacuums linked to the SmartThings platform.
To activate the feature, the user needs to link a SmartThings account to Hyundai Bluelink or Kia Connect in-car services by scanning a QR code. The feature also supports cars equipped with the ccNC platform.
On the other hand, the service allows the creation of smart scenarios that operate automatically, such as turning on lighting and air conditioning when approaching the house, or activating Away Mode to turn off devices when leaving the place.
