Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone 18 Pro phones later this year, as the most distinguished category within its traditional lineup.

Current reports indicate that there are no radical changes in the design, but a new leak hints at the possibility of the devices receiving an additional upgrade in the selfie camera.

Chinese leaker WhyLab reports that both the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max can be equipped with 24-megapixel front cameras. However, the source does not present this information as confirmed, but only refers to it as a possibility, which requires dealing with it with caution.

This reservation increases in light of the iPhone 17 series already relying on 18-megapixel selfie cameras, down from 12-megapixel in previous versions.

While the issue of upgrading the front camera remains unresolved yet, the iPhone 18 Pro phones seem closer to adopting a smaller Dynamic Island aperture.

This may disappoint those who were waiting for Apple to move to a camera under the screen or a circular hole design, but any radical changes of this kind may be postponed for at least an additional year.
