
The Authority’s media center announced Red Sea ports Today, Sunday, the total number of ships present on the authority’s port berths reached 10 ships, while about 21 thousand tons of general and miscellaneous goods were handled, in addition to the passage of 725 trucks and 35 cars, and the reception and departure of 1,253 passengers during the day.
The center explained that the trading operations were carried out according to precise operational plans, aiming to facilitate commercial and logistical movement in the ports, and to ensure the smooth arrival and export of goods of various types, which contributes to supporting the economic activity of the region and enhancing Egyptian maritime trade.
The Center indicated that the Authority follows up all operational procedures on a daily basis to ensure the speed of customs procedures, and the application of the highest standards of maritime safety and security, including inspecting goods and verifying the conformity of legal documents, in addition to organizing the movement of ships on the docks to ensure achieving the maximum operational efficiency.
The center also reported that the trading of trucks and cars takes place through an integrated system to reduce waiting time and facilitate the process of internal transportation of goods to and from ports, while providing facilities to investors and shipping companies, ensuring high flexibility in dealing with various commercial and logistical activities.
The media center indicated that the Authority is also interested in providing distinguished services to passengers arriving and departing through the ports, by organizing travel procedures, facilitating security procedures, and ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers while they are in the ports, which reflects the Authority’s commitment to distinguished service standards.
The Center stressed that the Authority’s continued performance contributes to strengthening the role of the Red Sea ports as an important logistical hub at the local and international levels, while supporting maritime trade and enhancing connectivity between various Egyptian and international ports, thus contributing to the development of the national economy and facilitating the movement of goods and passengers.
The Center also stressed that the Authority is working to develop the port infrastructure, including docks, warehouses, and service facilities, and modernize the equipment needed to handle goods faster and safer, with a focus on digital transformation in following up on logistical operations and improving operational efficiency.
The media center concluded its statement by noting that the Red Sea Ports Authority continues to work to raise the level of performance and achieve the highest quality standards in its services, while being keen to support maritime trade and facilitate the transport of goods and passengers, ensuring the continuation of economic activity and commercial movement on a regular and sustainable basis.
