We’re seeing a new wave of compact, high-performance gaming tablets. At the beginning of this week, Lenovo showcased its new Legion Tab Gen 5 device during the World Phone Show in Barcelona, making it currently the only tablet device based on the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor from Qualcomm, before the imminent launch of the similar Legion Y700 Gen 5 device in the Chinese market.

It seems that Red Magic will not stand still and will not delay the competition for long, as it is preparing to launch a successor to its famous Red Magic Astra tablet. As a reminder of the company’s previous steps, Red Magic had introduced the Gaming Tablet 3 Pro last June in China, and after only one month it began selling the same device at the global level under the name Red Magic Astra to achieve wide spread.

In a new step to ignite the enthusiasm of gaming fans, the company shared an initial teaser via its official platforms highlighting its upcoming Gaming Tablet 5 Pro. Although the company has so far limited itself to hinting that this new device is coming very soon, this announcement was enough to confirm that it continues to provide gaming tablets that combine strong performance and practical design.

It is very clear that this new tablet represents a continuation of the company’s approach to providing compact designs that are easy to carry and use for long periods. This trend confirms that Red Magic is not currently planning to return to offering large-sized devices like the previous Red Magic Nova version, which was competing directly with large-sized devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 series to provide a different experience.

Until this moment, other technical details and internal specifications of the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro are still under wraps awaiting the official reveal. But based on our previous experiences with the company’s strategy, expectations strongly indicate that this new tablet will witness a global launch later this year, and it is very likely that it will be launched in international markets under a different brand name to meet the aspirations of players around the world.
