HyperMegaTech, the company responsible for the Super Pocket portable gaming device, has announced a special edition called the Super Pocket Rare Edition in cooperation with British game developer Rare Limited.
This version comes with 14 classic Rare games, including Banjo Kazooie, Battletoads, and Jetpac, in addition to the ability to support Evercade tapes to expand the game library.
The device features a Rare-inspired design, with the front being red with bright yellow buttons and the Rare logo below the front speaker, while the back is covered in a blue color similar to the Super Pocket Capcom Edition. The L1, L2, R1, and R2 buttons also match the bright yellow color.
The Super Pocket Rare Edition maintains the same specifications as the previous versions, and includes a 2.8-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, a 1.2GHz processor, an audio port, and a built-in battery that provides about 4 hours of play, with a USB-C port for charging.
HyperMegaTech is offering the device at a price of $69 in the US, £49 in the UK, and €59 in the rest of Europe, and will be available for pre-order from stores such as The Game Collection, Argos, Funstock and Amazon, with an official launch date of June 26, 2026.
