Honor and Xiaomi early revealed their upcoming devices for the MWC 2026 exhibition, as Xiaomi yesterday announced the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and Leica Leitzphone, along with two new tablets for global markets.
On the other hand, Honor today presented the Magic V6 and MagicPad 4 phones, with launch details reviewed separately.
It is surprising that Honor revealed its foldable phone globally before launching it in China. However, this disclosure does not mean that the device will soon be available in international markets. Unlike Xiaomi, which has already begun selling its new phones globally to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series, Honor has not set an exact date for launching the Magic V6 outside China.

Despite expectations that Honor will take advantage of the period leading up to the launch of devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold8, Pixel 11 Pro Fold, and iPhone Fold during the summer or early fall, to fill the gap in the foldable phone market, the company confirmed that the actual launch will begin in China first during this month.
As for the global level, Honor explained that the phone will not reach the rest of the markets before the second half of the year, specifically after July. Accordingly, global prices are still not announced yet.
