Nothing presents the new generation of the Phone (4a) series with a distinctive design and noticeable updates compared to the previous generation. The series includes two phones: Nothing Phone (4a) and Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, with the Pro version this year focusing on improvements in performance, design, and screen, in addition to some limited differences in cameras.
The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro gets a metal unibody frame instead of the plastic used in the previous generation, with a slimmer design at 7.95mm, while keeping roughly the same weight. The phone has an IP65 resistance rating, with a limited ability to withstand immersion in water up to a depth of 25 cm for 20 minutes.
The phone relies on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, which offers an increase in processor performance by up to 27%, an improvement in graphics by 30%, in addition to a significant jump in artificial intelligence capabilities.
The phone also supports LPDDR5X memory with capacities of 8 or 12 GB, with UFS 3.1 storage with capacities of up to 256 GB, in addition to a Vapor Chamber to improve performance under pressure.

The phone includes a 6.83-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 144 Hz, with a brightness of up to 5000 nits. The screen supports high-frequency PWM dimming technology to protect the eyes, and is also covered by a Gorilla Glass 7i layer for protection.
In the photography department, the phone includes a 50-megapixel main camera with a Sony Lytia 700c sensor with optical stabilization, along with a 50-megapixel periscope camera with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel wide camera. As for the front camera, it has a resolution of 32 megapixels.
The standard Nothing Phone (4a) offers a close experience, but it relies on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor with limited performance improvements. The phone uses LPDDR4X memory with the same UFS 3.1 storage capacity, but it lacks an advanced cooling system.
The phone comes with a 6.78-inch OLED screen with a higher resolution than the previous generation, a brightness of up to 4500 nits, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The phone maintains a thicker plastic design and an IP64 resistance rating.
The two phones have a 5080 mAh battery with 50 watt wired charging, and the company promises to maintain 90% of the battery capacity after 1200 charging cycles.
In terms of the back design, the Pro version offers a circular Glyph Matrix interface consisting of 137 LEDs, while the standard version comes with a Glyph Bar that includes 63 LEDs.
The two phones operate on Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16, with a promise of system updates for 3 years and security updates for 6 years.
