Promotional advertisement for Microsoft Surface Duo
Microsoft has released a new promotional video for the Surface Duo, highlighting the phone’s key features. This video was posted on YouTube, and is embedded below.
Microsoft is showing off the features of the Surface Duo in a new promotional video. The video itself is two minutes long, and Microsoft manages to mention a lot of content in it. The company is proud of how thin the Surface Duo is, while also saying that it is very light.
The company says that the Surface Duo is the thinnest “Surface” ever, which is not hard to believe, as it is the company’s first “Surface” smartphone.
When unfolded, the phone is only 4.8 mm thick, while it weighs less than 255 grams, which is not bad at all considering that there are some regular phones that have a lot of weight.
In the video, you will also see the hardware inside the device’s retail box. Microsoft also includes some protection for the device in the form of a shock absorber, which is made of silicone, if I’m not mistaken.
The company also talks briefly about the phone’s displays, PixelSense displays, and the hinge. This hinge actually enables the phone to fold completely.
Microsoft has also confirmed that the device runs Android and also states that the phone can run basically any app in the Google Play Store, on either of its screens.
Device and multitasking
This smartphone is all about multitasking, and Microsoft is not trying to hide this fact. On the contrary, the Microsoft Surface Duo with a foldable screen can run more than one application at the same time on the two different screens.
The company also shows you how you can use this phone. The company says that the device has “multiple modes,” and basically shows you how you can use/hold it.
The device even allows you to pair two apps into one group. So, when you click this pairing, both apps will launch at the same time, one on each screen of the device.
If you have a Surface Pen, you can take notes on the Microsoft Surface Duo, and that functionality is also shown in this promotional video, as are many of the other software features this device offers.
It’s hard to deny that the Microsoft Surface Duo is one of the most interesting Android smartphones for multitasking at the moment. This is what Microsoft is aiming for.
The device certainly isn’t cheap, but it will definitely appeal to some people.
We leave you with the video now….
